Person’s identity sought after Mayfield fast food outlet robbed

Police are appealing for information to identify a person who might be able to assist with inquiries after an armed robbery at a Mayfield fast food outlet.

About 11.40pm on Tuesday 7 November 2017, a person has entered the Mayfield Road store, threatened staff with a knife and demanded money.

The man was given a quantity of cash from the till and left the store. He was last seen running along Corona Street.

Staff contacted police and a crime scene was established. There were no reports of physical injury as a result of the robbery.

Police have released CCTV images of someone who is likely to be able to assist the investigation. The person depicted is described as being of Caucasian appearance, large build and short, light brown hair.

They are shown wearing a black long sleeve jumper, grey tracksuit pants, no shoes and a red shirt/bandana around his neck and face.
