Events will be held across Western Australia to celebrate International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), a United Nations-sanctioned day held each year on December 3.
IDPwD seeks to raise public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and their contributions.
Disability Services Minister Stephen Dawson is encouraging communities to come together to celebrate the importance of access and inclusion in WA, and will join community members at several IDPwD events in Perth.
Many inclusive IDPwD community events will be held, including performing arts and exhibitions, morning teas, sporting events and family fun days.
