Police are seeking public assistance to locate an elderly man reported missing after departing on a trip from Hervey Bay.
Brian Williams, 81, boarded a bus at the Hervey Bay terminal at 4.30am on December 18 2017.
Mr Williams was intending to catch a series of trains and buses to Adelaide, however he failed to arrive in Melbourne today (December 20 2017) as part of his journey.
Police and family hold concerns for his welfare due to his age and because he suffers a number of medical conditions.
Brian is described as Caucasian in appearance with a fair complexion, proportionate build and was last seen wearing a white button up dress shirt and a charcoal pair of pants and brown shoes.
He was carrying a blue Coles chiller bag, a silver coloured wheelie walker and was carrying a black wheeled suitcase.
Mr Williams was intending to travel by train from Maryborough to Brisbane before catching another train via New South Wales to Melbourne. It is not known whether he made either of these trips.
Police are urging anyone who may have seen Brian or know his whereabouts to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers.
