Ultralight plane crash, Pacific Haven (Howard)

An ultralight plane crashed in Pacific Haven.

Preliminary information suggests the aircraft took off from the Howard airstrip to return to Childers when cross winds struck the aircraft, causing it to clip the top of a house on Marina Drive and subsequently crashing into the yard.

The 68-year-old male pilot sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital.

Investigations are continuing.
