A man has been charged after a home was damaged by fire in Newtown.
Police and emergency services were called to a home that was ablaze on Bernard Street
No one was inside at the time.
Initial investigations by the Toowoomba Criminal Investigation Branch indicated that the fire was deliberately lit.
A 38-year-old Toowoomba man has since been charged with endangering property by fire.
He is expected to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court.
