Mooroopna locals and Shepparton line passengers are being asked to have a say on the future of their station after fire destroyed passenger facilities in January 2018.
Victorian Minister for Public Transport Jacinta Allan announced community consultation will start in coming weeks to ensure community feedback is at the centre of developing a Mooroopna station facility that best suits the needs of the community.
Greater Shepparton Council, the historical society and other community groups have a strong affection for Mooroopna Station and will be involved in plans for its future.
Transport for Victoria and V/Line will be hosting two community drop in sessions on Monday 16 April for passengers and locals who want to hear more about the station’s future.
Locals are also being invited to share their ideas about what facilities they would like to see replaced or other improvements to the broader station precinct.
V/Line installed a temporary shelter at the station in February 2018 to accommodate passengers and will be at the station early on Monday 16 April 2018 to hear from passengers catching the morning peak service.
Community members can also chat with Transport for Victoria and V/Line staff at Bill and Beats Café from 1pm – 3pm at 106 McLennan Street, Mooroopna.
