Shelter WA, a community services body that promotes affordable housing and eliminating homelessness, has received a $252,532 Lotterywest grant.
Funding of $182,032 will be used to help upgrade Shelter WA’s information technology (IT) systems including its website – better supporting its membership.
Funding of $70,500 will help support Shelter WA’s coordination of Homelessness Week activities across Western Australia, which they have led since 2015.
The WA Government’s Department of Communities also provides funding to support Shelter WA with Homelessness Week, as well as annual funding to support policy development, stakeholder engagement and sector support.
In 2018, Homelessness Week will run from August 6-12, 2018 with the theme: There’s always something you can do.
