The 2018 Shopbaby Carols in the Heart event is coming up on Sunday, 9 December 2018 in Lismore with Aria Award-winner Samantha Jade headlining a free afternoon of festive entertainment.

Samantha Jade won the fourth season of The X Factor Australia and has gone on to have a successful music and acting career including starring on Home and Away.

She has recently released her new album The Magic of Christmas and will be singing classic carols as well as some of her best-known hits at the event.

Jade will be joined on stage at Crozier Field by a fantastic line-up of local singers, dancers, musicians and performers, and families are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket and enjoy a relaxed afternoon of entertainment.

Kids and adults can singalong from the Carols in the Heart songbook and there will be food and refreshments for sale, free face painting and jumping castle, and a visit from Santa. The evening will conclude around 8.30pm with a massive Christmas fireworks display.

“There’s nothing like singing a rousing Christmas carol with your family and your community to really feel the Christmas spirit,” Tourism and Events Manager Mitch Lowe said.

“Christmas is all about spending time with family and this is a chance to spend time with your Lismore family and give your kids a free afternoon of Christmas excitement.

“We hope to see locals and visitors at the refurbished Crozier Field – there is plenty of room for everyone and the more the merrier!”

Gates open at 4.30pm with the first carols from 5.30pm. Entry is free.

Crozier Field is located at 144 Magellan Street, Lismore.
